Hold On / Undercover

A little walk through history of the stupendous output of early R'n'B shuffle, jazz, afro, bluebeat, ska and rocksteady that came outta from Jamaica from 1958 - 1969. A mixed bag selection wise, stuff I'm digging, some crucial rare business as well as some bonifide classics that defined reggae as we know it. The jazz side of things shows the class of musicians that formed the foundation of the Ska sound while the R&B and shuffle sounds borrowed heavily from the US mainland pop records and where given the Jamaican Rub. Wheeel up!
