Due to popular demand we have some more digital, dubstep, jungle, downbeat cuts all on a reggae tip! We start with some blistering digital beats from the Riddim Tuffa, Jahtari, and Livity camps with Pupjim featuring heavily as he has been releasing so much dope digital dub beats of late. We then drop the smashing ShyFx tune Raver - one of my fav's at the moment followed by a dope steppers remix of Roots Manuva and the new stuff from Trojan Sound System. Roomate drops another dope riddim - Ras Vibes - in very much the same vibe as his last riddim - Mercy. I'm loving the Brookes Brothers sampling Johnny O, before Max Romeo and Little John get reworkings. Jstar gets a few dope tunes in there, Blessing off the dope Dub Zealand compilation he released a few months back and One Life Dub, a Yabby U-esq instrumental that has a few vocal mashups floating around cyber-space. Remember Downbeat? All those dope Hi-Fidelity releases, DJ Krush, Coldcut, Rockers Hifi, Nightmares On Wax, Rae & Christian, Boozoo Bajou, Butch Cassidy etc etc. My how the musical landscape has changed in the last few years, what was downbeat then has now morphed into the dirty dubstep. There is still the mellow vibes reminicent of this sound out there today, LV, Clouds etc. Here I have re-discovered a bunch of old tunes that where kicking around my old laptop just waiting see the light of day again.
