In the past my blogs (tribute to the roots and dynamite reggae) would have been taken down by now, hopefully (touch wood) the way I have done things this time (selections/mixes) sidesteps the powers that be. I feel I'm showcasing the artists work in a positive way by selecting a single track in a 'best of' kinda way rather than posting full rips of their albums like other sites.
Anyways I hope you all have enjoyed my selections of some amazing music that people work so hard to create and are skanking away to some of the best underground sounds.
I was wondering how to celebrate? My single favourite tune of the year? No way I can make my mind up on 10 never mind 1. So how bout we go all the way back to 1968 and select a classic riddim? Studio One you say?
